Waipakihi River

Helistar Helicopters flew 26 trampers and DOC staff into the Waipakihi River on Wednesday 9th January 2008. After an exhilarating scenic flight, and once feet were firmly on the ground, the group endured a 6 hour hike back out to the road, where transport was waiting. Just another example of the versatility of helicopters!
