Adrenaline Rush tops the list in 100th year

06 August 2007

The only thing that Leoni Teasdale wanted for her 99th birthday was a helicopter ride.

After deciding skydiving was too much pressure on her heart - she chose an adrenaline rush of a different kind - a helicopter ride over Taupo with Helistar Helicopters, using birthday money sent by her nephews and nieces in England.

Leoni said her 10-minute Huka by Helicopter flight was "worth every penny"!   "There is something magical about being above a place."

She thought Huka Falls, Kinloch and the mountains were especially beautiful!

Leoni is already saving for her next helicopter trip - a 30 minute one this time, which includes flying over Mount Tauhara and a landing at Lake Rotokawa.
